Paraphase
This writing recalls the puritans and their trip to the new world aboard the mayflower. Along the way, they experience seasickness, fear, doubt, harsh weather conditions and starvation. It is not what they expect, yet they rely on God in their journey to keep them safe.
Theme:
How the puritans act of leaving England due to Religious Persecution really reflects their courage, Perseverance and strength, along with their never-dying reverence to God.
Thesis:
In an excerpt from William Bradford’s Of Plymouth Plantation, although the puritans experience hardship in their voyage to America, in their initial arrival and in their dealings with the Indians, they still maintain their reverence to God and to one another [their `initial reason for fleeing England]
